The time has finally arrived!

Mark your calendars - our long-awaited landscape plans are finally coming to fruition! Join us for a Neighborhood Planting Party Weekend: Fri-Sun, Sept. 21-23, 2007

Schedule of Events (times are approximate):

9/13 at 7:00 pm:
Planning meeting for entire neighborhood - please attend!!

Fri, 9/21
between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm - pick up plants at nursery
4:00pm - dark: Prep work

Sat, 9/22
8:00 am - 9:00 am Plant workshop
9:00 am - 5:00 pm Plant, mulch, fertilize
TBD Neighborhood cookout / celebration

Sun, 9/23
8:00 am - 12:00 pm Finish planting; cleanup; water plants
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm Maintenance workshop

We need your help to make this a success!!

Please call one of the officers to sign up for one or more of the following tasks:

Prep Work:
Pick up plants at nursery in Suffolk (3 people are needed to assist the landscaper)
Dig up plants to be transplanted and/or disposed of
Soil preparation & fertilization
Spread weed killer
Spread lime
Cut down 2 dead trees

Saturday Planting:
Dig holes
Plant, fertilize
Water plants
Follow Tony's directions

Cookout:
Plan the menu
Shop for food & ice
Set up cookout area - grill, chairs
Cook burgers & dogs
Serve cold drinks
Cleanup after cookout

Sunday Finish-up:
Finish planting
Fertilize and water
Clean up
