A Key To Security

From time to time, we've been required to write about suspected  car tampering or car burglary in the community.  Here's a suggestion that might offer a solution.

Keep your car keys near your bed at night.

If you hear a suspicious noise outside or if you see a suspicious person near your home or car, hit  the "panic" switch on your keys.  As we all know when we've hit that switch by mistake, the action sets off the horn and, in some cases, causes the lights to flash.

Chances are any thieves will make a hasty exit. The noise might disturb neighbors briefly but it most likely will also save your car radio, your GPS or anything else a thief might find interesting!
