Good Neighbor Policy

Lawyers go home!

Interesting that this thread lasted only a couple of days. I would think that with a topic of vital interest to our community it would keep generating messages. Here is mine:
When I looked into purchasing my home in BV#5 I had my realtor obtain a copy of the deed restrictions for me to see. Reason: I came from a community with some serious restrictions and there were always threats of lawsuits pitting neighbor against neighbor. I did not want to throw myself into that type of situation again. So I ask that cooler heads prevail and the board back off from the idea of seeking changes in our deed restrictions.

As for boats and RV's in our driveways, let me say this. When I did a drive through of the neighborhood my first thoughts were that this is a good neighborhood of people with interests much like my own and that they have managed to acquire a couple of ''toys'' to enjoy their leisure moments. It left me with a positive impression of BV not a negative one. And it should be noted that at the time I did not know there was a difference between BV#5 and Big Baywood.

My idea of a good neighbor policy is to not judge your neighbor or his toys. To do otherwise is seems petty and envious.
