Status of Beachwood Community Center

On Aug. 6, 2008 we contacted Shorty Robbins?’ office to inquire about the status of the RFP (Request For Proposal). We were advised the final piece of documentation had been received. The next step would be for a committee at City Hall to OK the proposal. The committee meets every Thursday and will review the RFP on Aug. 14, 2008. We will keep you updated with the progress.

This process has been very frustrating and time consuming! We were told to get surveys completed; told an organization may want to run the center ?– then they back out; given advice we are ?“on the radar?”! It?’s a win-win situation to have our center open for after school activities for the children/teens in Beachwood. Feel free to contact Ms. Robbins?’ office at 630-3538 to check the status.
