Effective March 2009, the St. Johns River Water Management has new rules place limits on landscape irrigation, including the watering of lawns. It will be limited to two days a week during Daylight Saving Time and one day a week during Eastern Standard Time. The rule also limits the amount of watering to three-quarters of an inch per irrigation zone, and no more than one hour per zone. The new rules also require odd-numbered addresses to water on Wednesday and Saturday, and even-numbered addresses to water on Thursday and Sunday. Those with no address will water on Thursday and Sunday as well.
