Household Hazardous Waste and E-Waste Mobile Collection Schedule

The City of Jax. Solid Waste Division will host household hazardous waste and electronic waste (e-waste) mobile collection events throughout the city. The schedule of remaining events for this year is as follows:
Sat. Feb 7, 2009 8:30 am-3:00 pm
Ed Austin Regional Park, 3450 Monument Rd.
Sat. Mar. 7, 2009 8:30 am-3:00 pm
Blue Cypress Park, 4012 University Blvd. N.
Sat. Mar. 14, 2009 8:30 am-3:00 pm
Crystal Springs Park, 9800 Crystal Springs Rd
Sat. April 4, 2009 8:30 am-3:00 pm
Mandarin Park, 14780 Mandarin Rd.
Sat. Apr. 25, 2009 8:30 am-3:00 pm
Atlantic Beach City Hall parking lot, 800 Seminole Rd.

Types of waste which may be brought to one of the events are:
E-Waste: T.V.s, computer monitors & terminals, CPUs, keyboards, printers, scanners, stereo equipment radios, VCRs, DVDs, cell phones, pagers & power tools.
Household Hazardous Waste: paint, paint thinners and strippers, rechargeable batteries, photographic chemicals, drain cleaners, pool chemicals, aerosol cans, antifreeze, fertilizer, acids, gun powder, fireworks, fluorescent bulbs and tubes.
