When to Contact the Board Vs. Community Manager

Board of Directors

The purpose of the Bedford Park unit owners’ association (BPUOA) is to oversee the overall management of our community with an end goal of maintaining and increasing our property values.

The UOA is managed by a three-person board of directors, elected annually at the Annual Owners’ Meeting, and other appointed volunteers who help monitor and manage the daily operations of the property.

Community Manager

The BPUOA contracts with a management company to provide financial services (such as collecting monthly fees), managing our legal and accounting needs, and arranging for/supervising the day to day operations of our property. Other contractors also provide services to our community as needed. Capitol Property Management has provided management and operations services to our community since March 2004. Who Do You Call?

Our Capitol Community Manager provides all oversight of day to day operations, including requests for repairs. All requests for maintenance and repairs, reporting complaints or problems around the property, or other day to day concerns should be forwarded to the Community Manager.

Please contact at the Board at anytime with ongoing concerns. The day to day management of this community relies on all owners participating in the process of alerting board and management of concerns before they become emergencies. The board of directors consists of your neighbors, with jobs, families, and lives as busy as yours, they rely on other owners and residents to alert them when something needs attention. For their own privacy, the board maintains a group email address that is monitored by board and board assigned volunteers - bedford_board@yahoo.com.
