Meeting called to order by Vice President Jeff Miller at 7:05 P.M.

July 2009 Minutes reviewed and motion made by D. Thompson to approve, seconded by G. Guss.
Debbie Thompson reported on the Treasurer’s Report. All the Finish Line Festival bills have not been submitted, so an accurate account could not be given. The report showed an approximate balance of $6211.00.
Lt. Manning discussed crime in Beechmont area. Juvenile was arrested in the 4300 Block of Taylor Blvd. for shooting out windows of automobiles, with a BB gun. Appears to be the same type of incident that has occurred in the Beechmont neighborhood . Problems in the vicinity of Ashland Tavern neighborhood are down. Overall criminal activity in the Beechmont area is down compared to last year. Property crimes are down 20% and violent crime is down 9%. District councilman Dan Johnson has allocated Neighborhood Development Funds for crime prevention and additional patrol enforcement in our area.
Guest speaker Micah Followay, JCPS/Americorps Reading Tutor, has requested volunteers to read to students at Olmsted Academy North 4530 Bellvue Avenue. If interested and could volunteer during school year, email Micah at
