Update! I talked to our President, Rob, this week and he told me to check out the paint sample on the wall at the entranceway of the second entrance to Bella Vista. I drove by and looked it over. The proposed top cap color is dark, sort of like a milk chocoloate and the bottom overall wall color is a light color of some unknown name. Since I've looked at this and informed Rob a day later that I thought the top cap color was a little too dark. He informed me the darker colors would hopefully hide any dirt or stains better than the current lighter color. I agree on this point.
Today I notice several emails responding to Rob's asking what everyone thinks of the colors, in my inbox. Most everyone agrees but one person questions why the darker color when the houses in the community are of lighter colors. Good point.
Will this set off people to thinking that they now may paint darker colors on their house? Is this what the community wants? I understand that we are using a color chart from BEHR brand paint that is acceptable by the Architectuarl Control Committee and I'm assuming this selection is in that chart. Not to assume such things though as there are rules that we are all supposed to play by in a deed restricted community.
So, the question I have now, was this color selected from the Behr chart? Can someone suggest a different color scheme at this point? I would like to see the board get together and discuss some colors from the approved chart and a decision made with everyone together rather than the process that is being used at this time.
As it seems no one is reading much less posting to this web site other than myself I'm sure this post will most likely be long ago forgotten after the wall color is made and the wall painted before someone reads this.
