TRUGREEN SUCKS!!!

Read my post in the 'No Solicitors' discussion to see why I post this. Do yourself a favor and ask your friends why they won't use this company. You'll see. Now, go read my other post before you sign up for any lawn spraying service.

This would be great help for us to know what everyone times are per station and so on, as its our first time to be home owners and we have no idea on what to do to get our grass up to tiptop shape.

About 4 days ago we  put ourselves some scotts fertizlier on it says greener grass in 3-6 days...MMMM is my only thought...I dont see to much of a change LOL

Mention in another post you are able to hand water whenever we want?  We just can only use our sprinklers when we are allowed right?

Thanks ahead of time

I think that's false advertising by Scotts. How do they get away with that I wonder.

Yes, it is my understanding that you can hand water any day and time you want. I think there is a link on the front page here that will take you to the county rules on watering if I remember right.

For right now I have my zones set up to water only 10 minutes each on the one given day we are allowed. The summer months will require longer times. I'm experimenting right now though. As we have gotten a lot of rain last week I may have to adjust this to 5 minutes, not sure as yet. I believe if you want a nice and green lawn you have to keep after it almost daily. Keep an eye out for those nasty chinch bugs and fertilize every couple of months. It weeds and bugs that make me get upset. I've got a weed problem in the backyard right now I have to get on top of. The front is looking better than last year as I have hand watered it a few times as I have found the time to do.

I like to take care of the yard when I have time but when there's no time, it's hard to keep it looking good. I pride myself on cutting it though and touch up the blade to a nice sharp edge with a file each time before I cut. Only takes a few minutes to do. And, it makes the mower work a lot less harder and cooler. I also change the oil in my mower each winter before I put it away. I spend a little more for the synthetic oil as it won't break down like the parafin based oil does. I believe it will make the engine last longer.

Well, that's about all I can tell you for now. I'm hoping others will join in our discussion soon. ...this site needs a spellchecker, I'm terrible at spelling sometimes....

long time since I've posted in this area, as were have been getting our grass in tip top shape finally....but now the whole chinch bug ( i think) thing going on.

Anyways I was just reading the website for watering rules (not that I need to worry with all the watering the sky surely has done in the past two days, but on the site it says this:

on their site that those rescrictions(days to water your lawns with sprinklers) are in effect till june 30th, 2008 so then what anyone?
