Well signs like peoples welcome wear out or in some cases fade away. I hear your frustration! I have talked to someone who really wants to run but they would not care for ineptness currently at play. They may wait to see if anything changes soon. I still wish you would get it in legal writing from Green Acres as I have been told that back when someone named Matt was President- It was determined that someone could run if they were not on a deed. You reside here and that makes you a resident doesn't it? Speaking of being paid, you and I have helped out more than alot of people and I never heard you or I say " were not being paid for this" I guess it's all a matter of deflecting heat or a good standby line for some who feels their weak efforts are overlooked. Not all are bad. I really like the Wallace's level headed thinking. I miss seeing them. Good people. Never heard them complain about their positions being thankless and unpaid. I think some people on the board take the whole community being theirs and defending it to seriously. It is everyone who resides here's community. They say their out and about everyday but you hardly see them or they don't want to hear what you have to say or worse yet rudely interrupt your conversation with someone and have a shouting match from the street for all to hear. So their theory about come talk to us is shot in the ass! The whole- come to a meeting and talk to us bullshit-they cancel meetings and change dates so you have to do it on their time! You said they were waiting on bids for landscape-didn't the contract expire? Shouldn't they have looked into that months ago? They sure didn't mind putting a size able increase in the budget before they even had the bids, did they? Who the hell do they think they are? Are people with kids supposed to book a stand by baby sitter, the elderly supposed to call a cab? Why do the residents who pay their fees have to "go to a meeting " to be heard or find out information? They are supposed to represent the community and work for it's good for the homeowner, not look down upon us as we are there for them! Of course a news letter would be nice but of course that's someone else fault again and not worth re-hashing. Paul let's start our own newsletter! We can call it the unofficial newspaper of Howdy Dudeyville! We can exercise our first amendment rights! Brilliant! And we don't even need the village idiot to approve it! Did I mention I like the Wallace's? Paul, I hope you are not growing weary. I know you want to keep in the middle of things and be fair and I respect that. Just don't give up. I like a good fight and I think we are just starting one. We are the underdogs but I believe it's well worth fighting for. If they would be fair in enforcing rules and work on controlling cost to the residents we would be happy, but the track record isn't good on that. Don't blame Green Acres- the violations are "reviewed" {censored} by the board. What shocks me the most is the fact that you are so helpful to the community and you could do even more but they treat you like a tool. When they have had enough of Paul put him back in the box. Your not good enough to be one of us but you can help as long as you don't complain about anything. There was an article in the paper Sunday about residents helping assotations and if it was a good idea. Wish I would have saved it for you. In summary they debated if it was good or bad and the advise was for BOD's to take any help they can get in these troubled times. Did I mention how nice the Wallace's are? KTF
