Hello everyone,

It has been brought to my attention that our re-election/ choice of candidates have a little baggage and hostility brought into the picture.

Regardless, all of this negative energy is not going to bring the necessary positive change for us long term at Lake Bella Vista.

Paul, you say that you want to get out there and offer your assistance with people and there houses.   What exactly are you referring to?  Painting, planting trees? pressure washing sidewalkes?  Some of the residents are struggling financially and would be unable to afford the supplies (paint, trees etc)  How do you plan to take care of this?

It appears both Paul and Rob have had experience on the boards.  So I have some questions for you both.

Why is it that no on has the answers to the process of violations?

What happens after the violation has been sent out and is not corrected?  I can't believe that we are the ONLY community that has ever endured the basketball hoops.   Oh and yes, I drove around and saw all 3 of them.   They are hideous.....a complete eye sore.

Rob, according to your letter that was sent out you have been on the committee for 4 years.  Surely you have come across this situation at least once.

I've seen the board work very hard at the picnics.  But what are you referring to in your letter with property improvements?  What property improvements have been made?

Same with you Paul, what are the penalties for receiving and ignoring a violation?

Paul it seems like you have the mindset to come in, get things done and taken care of.  While this is great, what exactly is your agenda?  I know you plan to go knocking on doors but what next?

I would also like to know if there is a "check list" of responsibilities for each individual:  Sharman/ Green Acres/ the president, etc,

As far as the front sign, where is the painter and what is he doing???

I think it might be helpful if each candidate came to the meeting with a vision board of ideas and plans they have for Bella Vista.

paul puts his money where his mouth is........  i complained about some eyesores and not only did he state he would take action to help (not report the violation like i did - by the way, again told by charmin its too expensive to pursue)  paul took time to go to the persons house, investigate and offer to help them.............

paul for president !  rich for vice president ! :)

This is a great idea, to bring our agendas to the meeting to speak to the residents. I will need to get working on this. It would be better served if everyone would post their agenda here also. I hope I can cover all your questions for you in this post also. First off, from my experience with violations and enforcement, it is the hardest thing to manage for a board. I know there is a process to follow and it can be done but it takes responsible people to follow it through. I will do my best to work to see that a process is put into place. It will take some time. I would like to invite you to work with me on this.  I can't speak for the current board and why violations are not being enforced. We can assume anything at this point. As for my and Rich's offering to help residents with any problems they have, yes, we will look at anyone's situation and do what we can. If a resident will talk to us we'll go out of our way to do what's needed. Do you have anything that you need help with? Can't afford it? There are many ways to solve this. I have taken money out of my own pocket to make repairs for the community of North Lakes when I lived there and was on their board. I enjoyed doing things like this for the community. I didn't need anyone to commend or criticize me for it, I just did it our of my own goodness. It's great to get out on an early Saturday morning and walk the common areas and pick up trash or screw a sprinkler head back on that was knocked off by someone or a car. It pained me that I saw the water bill larger than normal and we had to pay for the waste.  I like the idea about the checklist of responsibilities. This is something that could be done I think. Would you like to offer your help to do this with us? We need more helpful people such as yourself to help build a responsible community here at Bella. Wouldn't it be great to go outside on a Saturday morning and see neighbor helping neighbor? That's a vision I have, can it be done? Let's try. I hope I answered all your concerns. I might not have given you the answer you wanted right now because I don't have the exact answer but I now have your concerns and they will be noted and dealt with in time. Thank you for being helpful enough to bring to bring these important items to everyone's attention here. I've tried to reply to all posts here this morning and there has been a lot. I'll check back here again soon. Keep the faith!
