It has come to my attention yesterday by more than one person that I talked with that someone is going around and saying the above. You hear one side of a story but if you can get the other side you can make up your own mind and decide for yourself.
The original postings on this website were made to wake some people up. I think that was accomplished. Now that the window is open the residents are speaking up. It is your 1st amendment right, 'Freedom of Speech' it's called in case you forgot or don't remember. No one has any right to shut you up or tell you that you cannot say anything. This website was provided to discuss anything that concerns anyone here in our community. It can be about anything.
Pay close attention to what is coming next in our discussion area. I believe we've only just begun. There is going to be change in our community and we'll let you have a voice in it right here since you can't make a meeting or maybe don't want to go to one. For those that do go it is a treat. You will be exposed to the raw discussions and decisions made by your board that affect your lifestyle and your wallet here at Bella Vista. If you don't care how much you pay to live here then that's your business If you don't care how your neighbor keeps his property that's your business too. But, keep in mind that some residents bought into a contract, namely the bylaws of Bella Vista when they bought property here. These are your concerned neighbors that are looking out for the value and well being of our community even if you are not. These same people will speak up from time to time and demand that the governing board keep to the rules. It's a simple contract.
Yes, it's a tough job, the board of directors and officers have. They aren't paid and they try to have some semblance of a family and social life. You have to give them credit too. It's like a plant. You water it daily and it gives you rewards. Think about it. We can offer the board our criticism or our help. Which do you think we should do? The right thing, of course. So, are you with us or are you against us?
Next time someone asks you if you're interested in joining a committee, ask what you can do. It's all about teamwork and building support for a common cause. I'm hoping to find others willing to lend a hand and spare some time for our own sake. What do you say? I'm all ears.
