Funny thing. Tuesday when I was leaving saw the Green Guy landscapers working on the common area. Could have sworn at the annual meeting they reported they had found a new company and Green Guy was out by the end of the month. Did he come back with a counter offer? I believe they said the new company was cheaper. Just confused..........

Here's the latest! The contract with Green Guy isn't up until August 25 or 26th, can't remember exactly. So, we will not see the new company starting until after then unless some way is found to get out of the current contract. The contract with Green Guy was an auto-renew contract that would renew every year unless a letter was sent to not do so. A letter has been sent and this will end this contract in about four months from now.  Also, in this current contract is a paragraph stating that if any problems are found that they must be stated in writing and sent to Green Guy. It also states that 30 to 60 (not sure on the exact number here)days must be given for Green Guy to correct any deficiency. So, as there isn't much time left in this contract anyway it doesn't make much sense to try and fight it now. Let's just hope that Green Guy takes pride in his work and keeps things up so the next company doesn't have a mess to deal with when they start.

they did say we had a new company at the meeting, maybe they meant they were talking to/courting a new company.  in any case, this time around with the new company we could take pics to make sure services are being rendered..... photos should simplify the process of giving written notice, so it sounds like a win win....we could start a landscape section here where we could photo journal services, post concerns etc.     what do u think

Now I remember! So what your telling me Paul, is after the meeting things changed. SOMEONE [former president] didn't read the contract and never documented poor performance! It's amazing-even in today's job market-you can't just fire someone on the spot. My human resource dept. makes me document performance and build a case before I am given the green light to fire someone. It even has to be gone over by the company legal team! Is Green Guy really that bad? Could have sworn someone wrote a letter for the election saying they go all over Tampa and Bella Vista was the most beautiful community! Isn't that conflicting???? Maybe I'll mail my copy to Green Guy in case things go to court! Albert might appreciate that.
