Well done Paul!! Glad to see someone taking time and being pro-active. Such a nice change of pace! Haven't seen anything as far as the next meeting. Nor the start to summer party that has been around this time last couple of years. Let me guess........there isn't going to be one? Not that I planned on attending but just figuring it's another expense they can do away with.

Rich, I sit here this noon day wondering what people are doing. I have not gotten any notion of specifications if there were any done on that berm repair. It's like it's fallen on deaf ears. We paid $1,100 for a report by an engineering firm but I have yet to get a copy to see what was in it. I'm assuming that there weren't any specs in it so I will have to attempt to write something up myself. I have one company who wants to bid this repair but wants specs to compare apples to apples, to quote him in his own words. A second person came out that same day that this person did and submitted a bid without any problem, needing any specs of anyone elses. He was lower than the first bidder's verbal quote to me so if it were up to me alone I would give this bid to the second person. The third company I contacted this past week called me back and said that he had done this same bid ten months ago and said he talked to me. I informed him that it was probably the past president he talked to and that I was new on this board and currently getting bids. He said he would submit it again but I have seen nothing from him. I'm thinking of calling him and asking him what happened.

No party this year, hmm. Maybe everyone's too busy? I'd like to do something different but I can't seem to put it together. I keep thinking the electric at the common area would not hold up to a live acoustic performance with lights and amplifiers. I'm thinking maybe a big screen rented, and putting on a movie on Friday nights might be fun. I'll need to get a price on renting a screen and a projector, or, maybe someone in the neighborhood has one already they'd like to offer. Figuring out a night without bugs or rain would be the next thing.

Rich, I'd like to call on you for any help in this area if you might be interested.

It's so strangely quiet around here now. There is fear in the hearts of what once were men....
