Wow, what a success! We counted 24 children that came to hunt the eggs. By 10:00AM they were lined up at the sidewalk and Vanna, my wife and volunteer started them off. It was quite a site to see, little happy faces running to see how many eggs they could find. Most everyone had brought baskets although one little boy who showed up late didn't have one. I suggested that he use his shirt. He found two eggs by the time he got into the hunt. He was late to the game as were a couple of others. Sorry, maybe next year.
Two golden eggs were found and prize easter baskets were awarded to the little boy and girl who found them.
Jeff Hastings took pictures as well as I. We will hopefully have them up on the site soon.
Vanna suggested that maybe next year we provide hamburgers and hotdogs for afterward. As by 10:20AM everyone had left the area. It went quick. Was a perfect day too.
