I find it strange the Annual meeting is what it is now referred to.

Shouldn't it be the Annual Homeowners Meeting-because that's what it is!

No board run meeting, no board members sitting at a table while we sit in chairs around the room. That is what it is SUPPOSED TO BE!

Another thought-they used to put on the paperwork what the Proxy you sign was for, something about rolling money over-now they just want you to sign in case something comes up that they need a quorum of homeowners to vote on and they will be happy to apply your vote as they see fit-if you sign your proxy and send it to them.

Think about this-they are giving us 2 minutes to speak at our own meeting!

They used to be generous and give us 3 minutes! Roberts rules and such.

Why would anyone in their right mind sign their voting rights over -not knowing what is being voted on?

Just go ahead and sign over another one of your rights-not me. You can say I don't have a right to complain if something is voted on I don't like -but I turn that around and say I do because I didn't just let someone vote for me.

We keep trading away freedoms for the illusions of safety and whats best for all.

I saw a documentary from the 1940S's on this and what it leads to but it was hard to understand because the words were German!

HOMEOWNERS UNITE!!!!

Ahhh, another excellent post by Mr. Rich. I wish more residents were reading and posting here so they would be in the know. I thought it strange also that the property management company is stating that 2 minutes will be allowed for a resident to speak. Maybe it was a typo error. They've had several already. But, if you know me, I offer anyone all the time they need at our meetings. Within reason of course. Hopefully some residents will show up so it won't have to be run by the board. I'd love to sit on the side and watch the homeowners run the annual meeting. That would be different. As for putting on the proxy what votes may come up, well, I think it's optional. You did get a copy of the agenda, right? Read the agenda as that's what's happening. Anything else will be new business and can be brought up by any resident. I'm sure that any resident that wants to attend and cast their vote will do so. Otherwise, they trust that the board will manage the community wisely. Yes, homeowners need to unite. It's their community and the board is always looking for their help and input on everything that concerns us here in Bella Vista.

I would like to speak for myself now and say that I don't always know what needs to be done or how or when. I look for and depend on input from others to help me in making my decisions. I do my best to look at the big picture before I make a decision. I welcome everyone to get involved in some way. Wether here on this discussion board, phone, mail or meetings. A little input can go a long way if people will just take the time.

That's great. I just posted a reply and when I clicked, POST, I got an error screen. I I tried a screen refresh and even clicked back but nothing. Don't ya' hate it when that happens....
