The item of discussion has come up regarding whether we want the gates closed or open during the day. As construction concludes we will have to address this issue. The board members would like to have some input in order to make an informed decision that reflects the desire of the majority of the residents. Please take a moment to jot down your thoughts, concerns or anything else directly related to this issue.

Gates should be closed!!!!

I do not think this should even be a matter of discussion. It is not something that I think the board has the right to make a decision on. I as well as all the homeowners here purchased a home in a ''gated community''. I expect it to be one. To answer concerns regarding mail delivery etc. They will all have a code to get in. Same for personal house cleaners, pool cleaners and yard companies. They are already at your homes so I assume you can trust them. Even if they gave the code out (which right now they can tell everyone where you live)it would be safer to have the gates closed. Right now everyone that passes by this neighborhood can come in. Many home invasions happen during the day while people are at work. To me this is a nonissue because we purchased a home in a GATED COMMUNITY!

I also believe the gates should remain closed. What's the purpose of having a gate if it's not used?

I moved into a gated community, I expect it to remain a gated community. The gates need to remain closed at all times!!!
