Speed Limits and Stop Signs

Posted in: Big Bear Farms
Someone hit a neighbors dog on BB Avenue today. Another resident was standing over it w/a sheet on it waiting for the owner to come outside. From what I heard they did not even stop, just kept going. Speeds through BB Avenue have become a little excessive,so too has the running of the stop signs in the neighborhood, especially Hampshire & Farmington. There are kids out playing please please take pre-cautions. A dog is bad enough, God forbid it be a child. (no cruel posts are necessary, we all know this is a very important issue)
?

Why was the dog in the street? What if the driver would have swerved to miss the dog and hit something or someone? I certainly don't agree with the driver not stopping after hitting the dog but maybe the owner of the dog should have been more responsible for their dog.

Just a thought.
Our residents

There are a lot of cars that cut through our development. You can't always blame our BBF residents. Our residents do need to be responsible when driving, but don't always think it is one of us.
Signs

Bottom line is, neither kids OR dogs belong out on the street, without supervision. I have noticed people have let their kids ( unattended ), turn the streets into a playground. I would NEVER under any circumstance, let my kids play in the street. This is why we have backyards.
