You are right on most issues, but on the liability, it has to be proven that you intentionally refused to remove snow or ice. I have never heard of a case,where someone was sued and lost.I agree the sidewalks are a pain, any damage to them and the homeowner is responsible for fixing it.Like the old saying goes, '' be carefull what you wish for ''

My understanding is,that you have to take your child to school ,because there is no sidewalk from your house to the bus stop.It's a safety issue. Check with your school.
