I agree the previous post regarding moving forward. As I see it, there are several priorities:

1.) Deterimine the common deed restrictions and make sure everyone in the subdivision is aware of them.

2.) Send notice to the people who are currently violating these common deed restrictions. ie: decks not in compliance, dead trees, improper plantings, dishes, and fences.

3.) Set objectives for the coming year. What do we want to improve? Costs etc.. Have everything ready to go for the next homeownerns meeting.

4.) Continue to work with Deleware County regarding traffic issues. This is very important. In my opinion we do not want speed bumps. They have proven to reduce property values. ( just think if you lived on Big Bear, and were selling your house, would the person wanting to buy it want to know why there are speed bumps on your street?) We simply need more inforcement.

5.) Work with Deleware county, and Liberty township regarding the Powell road issue. We need to have a voice here.

6.) Communicate frequently to the homeowners. We should be kept informed. If the other website is the venue then that is fine.

7.) Stop the BS on this website that seems to be coming from a certain few. Let the Trustees do their job, and don't try to force your agenda on them.

You are preaching to the choir. We have been singing this tune for five years ,but there are people in this neighborhood that will fight you all the way. You made some good points,I hope someone is listening.I would like to see the trustees use the neighborhood newsletter, it is a perfect venue and it won't cost anything.

How do you enforce?

Question, You send people notices for not removing dead trees or not taking care of their decks etc. and then they refuse to do anything about it ,now what do you do? What are your options?
Can you fine them? can you go on their property and remedy the situation? I agree with you on speed bumps,besides I don't think the county would allow them,because of the snow plows. Four way stops at each intersection of Big Bear ave would help.

I would think that if somebody were to come on my property without permission to remedy a situation (which I don't have by the way) and didn't have some sort of legal approval, I would think that may be considered trespassing. Hopefully the trustees will look into that issue and use any remedy possible without getting in trouble.

I agree that we do not need speed bumps and stop signs may work better.
