Have you served on the board ? How do you know things are easier than they seem? Do you have the time to put in to do it right? Anybody can serve, but to do a good job you have to give some effort. We have had trustees that got on for selfish reasons and others that just didn't want to put in the time.We have to support the trustees that are doing a good job and working for free on their own time and please,don't confuse Rickert with Liberty Twsp. Liberty doesn't enforce our deed restrictions,they enforce violations of their zoning laws,things like above ground pools, fences,etc.
People better wise up,look at nearby neighborhoods,do you see satellite dishes,two at a time in their yards?
Yards not taken care of,decks and playground equipment not maintained.
No you don't and why? Because they enforce their rules. I agree ,petty rules can be overlooked,but serious violations need to be dealt with or we are ALL going to suffer.

Sorry, you need to read your deed restrictions regarding satellite dishes. It puts a restriction on size. Does not say how many you can have, where to put them, etc. It is our past trustees that made this personal as to what could be done in the neighborhood. They tried to tell people where to put things and do things. If it doesn't say it in the restrictions, leave them alone. Even if I dont maintain my playground set or deck, what are you going to do about it? Send me a letter and I will make a bonfire. You cant enforce this stuff anyways.

Our property values are not going down due to deed restrictions. Brand new homes in Golf Village cannot sell and are being sat on because there are no buyers.
