Please be aware that there have been several coyote attacks in our PQ neighborhood over the past year.  Last May a coyote attacked one of our dogs in our own back yard.  Our backyard is completely fenced/walled in. My husband saw the coyote jump over a 5+ feet wall to leave our backyard after the attack. We don't let our dogs go outside even in our own backyard unattended anymore during the early morning and evening hours.

Wow.  Didn't think they would scale the fence?  Good to know.  I hear them in the fields at sundown, especially during the sumer.  We will keep a look out and we keep our dog inside too!  Thanks Todd

Our dog was attacked by a coyote in our own fenced in backyard at about 2 in the morning 2 years ago.  Luckily my husband woke up and was able to scare the coyote off but our dog was very injured.  We are at fault for leaving the doggy door opened at night....the whole doggy door concept was new to us when we moved in but of course we have since learned our lesson.  We have a canyon behind our house and have put in a larger fence but Charlie is never allowed out after dusk by himself.

It is so scary!  We had to have our sweet dog euthanized afterwards because she was hurt so badly.  My husband actually witnessed the attack, and I only heard it, which was still really awful. I still have nightmares about the attack. I've talked with several other dog owners in PQ who have had their dogs attacked by coyotes.  It happens all the time. I'm hoping to get the word out so other pet owners can keep their pets safe.
