Below is a string of crime in Scripps Ranch and PQ that happened this week and last. Please help get the word out as this has escalated to involve safety of people. Children returning home from school without supervision need to know to stay out if the door is already open or windows broken. Thank you - Kim----- Original Message -----
Subject: Scripps Ranch Robberies
That there has been a string of daytime burglaries in our neighborhood within the past week…please call the police if you have any information. The non-emergency number is (858) 484-3154.
Robbery #1 – Scripps Legacy:
March 22, 2010 – received from another neighbor:
I want to let all neighbors know that our neighbor on the corner (Legacy Canyon and Legacy Road) was robbed today, in broad daylight sometime between 3 and 5pm. Did anyone see anything suspicious? They broke into the front door with a crow bar and ransacked the place. They helped themselves to quite a bit of property.
Robbery #2 – Scripps Legacy:
Forwarded from a neighbor Swan Canyon Road. Our home was burglarized on Wednesday, 3/17 between the hours of 11am-2 pm. My husband was at work and I was out running chores and found the patio sliding glass door broken and open on my return. All doors to our house are secured and locked at all times when we leave, including the patio door and the yard gate so they had to break the glass to reach in and unlock the sliding door. The police were here and took all information and found some good prints. It was not obvious how the burglar entered my yard, they took my jewelry box with all my jewelry and a digital camera but left several other electronic equipment and cameras.
I just wanted to let you know so you can alert people that they are getting more brazen and will enter even if all doors are locked.
Robbery #3 – Autumn Ridge:
This was forwarded to me on Tuesday, March 23, 2010.
FYI. This is a note I got yesterday from a friend who lives in Autumn Ridge on Spruce Run. Let's all be on the lookout and set our house alarms!
Hi gang - Just wanted you to know our kids came home after school yesterday to find our home was broken into. They barely made it into the house when they started coughing and sneezing. Turned out the criminals had sprayed our dog with bear spray to subdue him. It made the air in the whole house toxic. Haz Mat had to come and clear the house of fumes.
