I pick up trash in the alley along the side if my property 3 to 4 times a week. This is not my trash. I would like to see a push to help keep our allies cleaner. Many of the hpuse along this ally are rentals and some multi family units and it just appears that no one is making an effort to keep their trash from blowing around. Easy to fix. Make sure all trash is in a trash bag that is tied shut and placed in the trash container. Please help keep our allies clean and neat.

You have very good points. Sacking all the little things is the best way, but neighbors have to take responsibility. Garbage sacks are cheap so there is no reason for not doing it. Another thing, put larger items in the bottom of the bin, in this way it pushes lighter articles out into the truck. Most of the time the garbage man does not check if the bin is empty and things fly all over.

I have noticed the neighborhoods where the garbage man closed the lid; there is much less loose trash in the alleys. Perhaps enough
complaints to 311 would help make the garbage man to be more careful. (get the tracking number) Lastly, they need to set the garbage bin beside the alley and not in hap-hazarded way.

I have called about them leaving the lids open, didn't seem to do ne good. As was pointed out to me, some of the trash blowing around may be from the recycle bins which can not b put into bags. Guess the answer is would everyone just help pick up the stuff when they see it. I actually picked up trash on 2 rental properties which are not mine yesterday. 1) because eventually the stuff would have blown onto my property and 2) I just got tired of looking @ it when I was sitting in my back yard.

Picked up trash behond 2 houses again today. One was 1 of the same ones I did just a couple days ago. Does anyone have any ideas. These are renters who do not care. Is there any thing that can be done?
