Now is the time to start saving for our Treasure Hunt garage sale, come late April. The exact time and place will be posted in the April 2004 newsletter. As we have all said, ''one man?’s meat is another man's poison,'' so what you want to throw away may be the very item someone is waiting to discover. Please, everyone, save your books, clothes, baubles and beads, furniture, CD?’s?—any trinket or treasure that you can unearth. Over the past three years, our garage sale has become one of the BHNA?’s signature events. Monies raised money via this event have contributed to the purchasing of trees for our elementary school, our Arbor Day foundation enrollment, and other local improvements. A new plan to purchase Bluff Heights trash containers for areas impacted by lots of trash (such as junk food wrappers) is now on the drawing board. Also on the books is a proposal for historic street signs and utility poles, to add to the mix. Therefore, everyone, don't throw away your treasures; just put them in a big baggie and save them for April. Watch for the April newsletter, which will provide specifics about the time and place. Remember: SAVE, SAVE, SAVE!
