Greetings, my name is Jason and I am a community activist. I ran a succesful crime watch with officer Peters on the worst sides of town before selling and moving to River Run. I noticed recently Crimewatch signs up however is there actually a CRIMEWATCH in The Bluffs @ River Run. I can easily find out by calling my friends at the city council building and officer Peters? If nobody would like to give me any information. Recently, we have had theft from our property and vandalism and might I say I am not happy about it! I wrote the H.O.A a letter with NO RESPONSE? I am sure if I am an unhappy community resident their are many other's including my neighbors that live behind me whom recently had to put up cameras? Really we should live or you would think live in an area free from that? If there is no CRIMEWATCH (active) there will be one soon! Seriously, signs obviously are not keeping criminals and vandalism away? I aslo feel this H.O.A. needs to be more compassionate to the needs of those living in the area.....! From talking with numerous neighbors out walking many are displeased. They feel the board does not listen and frankly at times RUDE and shut people off! Not appropriate behave. A community needs to stick together. We do not need individuals in positions of community "LEADERSHIP" if in fact the are not leading and more of a nuisance and on a "POWER TRIP" that's what real politics are for! I want to let people know seen in the area of Dollar Forge Dr. A black man mid twenties seems to be scouting the neighborhood in a "WHITE CARGO" van. One morning I asked him as he was going slowly down the street if all was okay he stated "he was lost" I am sure the second and third time I have seen him he has not been lost on other occassion. He is very suspicious and never stops but always drives through the area. TOPIC: Children: I realize children are an integral part of every community however, parents need to watch them and "KNOW" where they are!? Especially, with stranger danger lurking! Children the sidewalks are meant for your bicycles not the community streets pulling in and out in front of traffic! NOTE: There are bike laws! We have a park for children! If not playing in their yards SHOULD NOT be running through neighbors yards or tearing up things that do not belong to them! Some individuals in the community take great pride in their yards and do not want things destroyed! Also, a few QUICK TIPS: It is getting close to the FOURTH OF JULY please watch your indoor animals as some are very afraid of fireworks and many run off or get lost this time of year! It obviously is going to be a very HOT summer as we have already seen with teperatures please make sure your critters have food and water especially WATER AVAILABLE at all times. Keep an eye on older pets as well! I was a Crimewatch Captain in one of the worst crime ridden areas in the city! I am a community activist and work for the community not AGAINST IT! (There is a big difference!) Those working with the community will see a lot more changes within a neighborhood instead of those just wanting to be in leadership roles for the mere sake of it!
