A new Graceland exhibit space, a new arena and a new "Made in Memphis" manufacturing center in Whitehaven means up to 1,000 new jobs for Whitehaven Residents
- The new Graceland hotel and exhibit complex has already created hundreds of new jobs. Over 70% of Graceland employees reside in Whitehaven. New projects will mean up to 1,000 more jobs.
- The development at Graceland is not a financial burden on the city.
- In 2017 alone, Graceland's new development has resulted in an increase in city/county taxes paid of over $2.5 million.
- The new Graceland arena is not intended to compete with existing venues- but to increase the number local events, conventions, and conferences taking place in Memphis throughout the year.
- The arena will also serve as a prime location for local Whitehaven community events (graduation ceremonies, community concerts, etc).
- The new exhibit space will bring more tourists to our community who will shop in Whitehaven stores, eat in Whitehaven restaurants, and stay in Whitehaven hotels/motels.
- The new manufacturing facility will create a new manufacturing hub right here in Whitehaven- with a focus on hiring Whitehaven residents.
