Town of Braintree

Prop 2 1/2

Posted in: Braintree
Now that the town wants to override
prop 2 1/2 has the town gotten rid
of every gas guzzling SUV and replaced
them with cars that car pool, get 100+
miles per gallon, and don't get used
for personal use after work hours?

Also how many SUVs does the school
personnel have? Since the schools are
closed when it snows why do the schools
need ANY SUVs?

SUV MisInformed

Schools have zero SUVs. Schools have zero vehicles that are taken home at night. Police and Fire have SUVs. Highway has an SUV. Civil Defense has an SUV (why????). BELD has SUVs. I believe each of these agencies are involved in blizzards or floods.
Watching School Committee meeting the other night, wow, what a horseshoe table they have for their meetings. I bet it cost three or four grand with the nice mahogany woodwork (veneer??), but only the best for our School decision makers, right?
BELD had such a profitable year they bought all new machinery, trucks and gave away the store with bonuses and pay increases of 12% over three years. They always give raises in excess of what our other peons receive and that includes school teachers who get a bit more than the peon crowd of valued employees. Anyone associated with schools or BELD who make decisions - draw a big target zero on their mid sections and let's vote them out of office one by one (and that includes Darrin FX McAuliffe who perpetuated the BELD give-a-way legacy aided and abetted by Tom Reynolds, our new ops manager at water and sewer. Has anyone seen this Tom on the job staring into a ditch or flushing a hydrant since December 30th on the job? I haven't come to think of it, but maybe he's been sent to school to get his licenses and certificates so he can know what he has to do.

Simple

It's simple. Public employees whether they be teahers, police fire. It doesn't matter; it's all the same. It's about job and pension. It will not ned until the private sector people get involved. I am in the private sector, and a town meeting member, etc. The town meeting is full of, the majority are public payroll people. The result is bad government. Union supporters, who will suck of the private sector through higher taxes every chance they can. Voter ought to know who they vote for, whether the individual is in the public sector, feeding off us, or a real worker. Moreover, the voting public is mostly made p of those in and on the public doles, and voting for those who will support more feeding off the public. Until those in the private sector start voting we will not break this ''given girl'' syndrome. While we in the private sector put money away in 401K's, teacher and public botttom feeders are raiseing your taxes to support their tax free pensions. Your 401K will be taxed, not so in government ot teachers pension. Like Jerry Williams used to say, ''Wake up America''.
