Has anyone heard of a plan to rename our Executive Secretary to Town Manager?
Who?’s brilliant plan is this to end run the will of the voters and change the form
of government by dictate. Changing the power of the Selectmen's Secretary to
a manager is a Tour de Force and not Democratic or honest to the townspeople.

There is still an element of dictatorial Elitism at work in this town. With the ability
of the school committee to enter into contracts with the teachers union without
financial oversight makes the concept of Democracey a fallacy in Braintree.

You may have noticed how the Assessors are helping to circumvent the overrides, which the people turned down by increasing all of the Assessed values of RESIDENTIAL properties ONLY and raising MILLIONS of new tax dollars so they can cover the new union contracts, new hires, make up for the money the schools neglected to spend on maintaining infra-structure and send the DPW to posh new quarters.

Who comes up with this crap? There will NO change of title for the ES. If you remember ''Le Affaire Sweeney'', then you know any such bylaw changes have to go thru Town Meeting, which has a better than even chance of not passing.
