anyone know anything about the fire test coming up. Are they hiring off the list of the upcoming test? Why isn't the fire civil service?

Since the hiring fiasco a few years back the fire department has been hiring from the list. Former selectman Jim Casey set guidelines for the fire chief to hire firemen. I don't know if the fire chiefs use the guidelines but they were made. They are not civil service because it has always been a patronage job for the selectmen.
