The fact that the trains DO go through Braintree - and cross multiple streets - should be a very good reason for trying to gain some safety controls on the neighborhoods. Sarcasm doesn't prevent accidents. Look at the State assessment of streets (local, collector, arterial)- heavy trucks should be using the BEST streets for their loads - not the quickest to their destinations, if reasonable, alternative routes are available. If you have an arterial road - that's what should be used. That's good planning.
