Peterson Pool: What were we voting on? What was the recommendation (indoor or outdoor seasonal)? What were Bruce Tobin and Peter Morin babbling about? What's going on and who's in charge?

An hour and 15 minutes battling a NON-BINDING resolution that has no effect because the Park Board already voted for the Hollis site (Are you paying attention Park Board Chairman Tobin?!?)

So tonight, we're gonna meet in between a Red Sox playoff game and the vice presidential debate. Yeah, we'll have enough people to hold the meeting. NOT!!

Let's pass a resolution that bans Peter Morin, Bill O'Neill, Mr. Lee, and Koko from talking tonight.

George Lee Needs Brain Enema

Listening to the likes of TMM George Lee contend that the park department has added six positions to their staff is pure unadulturated stupidity. Where did George get his information from? Exposing untruths, half truths and no truths at all is what's wrong with ill informed town meeting members as such. At least, Mr. Lee, get your information correct before you stand and continue to make a bigger fool of yourself as you did last night!

Although this was a non binding resolution it did send a clear message that the pool should go at the high school. Chairman Tobin suggested the pool should be at the high school and believes it should not be at Hollis as reflected in his vote-the only park board member to disagree with having the pool placed at hollis field.
The PP committee had been to many boards in town and information has gotten lost in translation going from one board to another. Town meeting was a great forum to get a clear and complete understanding of what was true and correct information. Just prior to the overwhelming vote even a member of the committe said it should be at the high school.
I feel that by this discussion the PP committee has a clear understanding of what should be done next and what will be supported by the entire town.
