Let's Not Go Too Far Here
Well, with the exception of one bleeding heart liberal, there seems to be a pretty clear picture of our dear ''Teddy Boy'' being promulgated on this site. One with which I wholeheartedly agree, however, it seems a little unfair to put Tip, Dapper and some of our other ''old Boston pols'' in the same ''bottle'' with dear ol' Teddy boy. While you and I may not have always agreed with the politics of Tip O'Neil, and Joe Moakley, they did work hard for their constituents, and in my humble opinion, were sincere in their convictions. As for Dapper, well, Dapper was Dapper, and he never met an issue that he would hesitate to take a stance on. But he also never failed to take a call from a constituent, or to champion the little people's causes in the face of King Kevin. I'll take Tip, Joe (and Dapper) any day considering the likes of Unsteady Teddy, Liveshot Kerry and the rest of our Congressional delagation
