Time Out for Tsunami Victims

Posted in: Braintree
The Salvation Army

has a special section set up collecting money for SE asia and the victims.

http://www1.salvationarmy.org/

is the address and you can't miss it on the first page. Today is your last day to make a donation and take the deduction for 2004.

The Salvation Army was there as soon as news of the disaster reached the world. They spend most of their money on relief, not high salaried officials like UNICEF and the Red Cross.

You can be sure your money will be spent for what you want it to be.

where is your sense of decency??

Although most here (myself included) hide behind ''anonymous'' or clever nicknames, we are probably friends or at least friendly when we see each other face to face. Now I remember not too long after the Iraqi invasion people were wanting to boycott French imports because they did not help. Look in the mirror folks, it's France looking back at you.

We are at war

Can anyone post how much France or Canada has aided to the Snuami disaster. We Americans are being slated as being ''cheap''. We are at war folks.
you are correct the salvation

army is the best, they are allways there
when we need them.
when my father was going on a ship to
westpac the Red Cross was at the gangway selling coffee and donuts to the American troops.
The Salvation Army was at the next gangway giving away free coffee and donuts to the American troops.I never forgot that one.
