If the police department sent 6 officers into Boston, I am sure that they were compensated from Boston and not through our funds. This is a common practice and I recall other events that were handled in the same way.
The police and fire department had to let go about 8 people last year to comensate for a 10% reduction in their budget which was about $500 grand last year and other departments let people go too.
One day at a rate that was reimbursed by the city of boston doesn't cut it.
