In the Herald ''letter to the editor'' section a gentleman was fuming on how to reply to Mary Meehan's tax funded visit to Iraq in January. The author is a 26 year active duty veteran. ''I can tell you the troops do not want to be bothered by visits from politicians while in combat.'' Evidently Meehan has already visited twice ''didn't he learn anything then?'' ''Meehan says our troops having the best equipment should be a top priority, yet he backed a presidential candidate who voted against funding for such equipment'' (who could that be?) The author suggested that Meehan ''learn about the ground situation first-hand, he should take a trip to his local military recruiting office, sign up and put on the uniform.''
Words of wisdom for all the liberals out there who see nothing wrong with our paying for these excursions. Take the money being wasted on these foolish trips and give to the families of our military. The Holiday Season is alive and well with the likes of this political hack (ass). Kerry isn't too far behind now that he spent the last month getting paid by the Commonwealth to secure a railing on the front of his house (probably needed to keep his wife from falling down after one of her stupors). His great feat two years ago was to get the fire hydrant removed from outside the same residence. Busy Boy!!
