The Driscoll flyer I received yesterday is negative campaigning at it's worst. Not only was it negative campaigning but bording on slander. A no vote for Driscoll is a vote against negative campaigning.

The truth...
hurts. I received the same mailing yesterday, and while I may not agree with the tactic, I do disagree that it's slander. Everything in there was true. Chuck Kokoros made those promises while running and didn't deliver. During his time on Beacon Hill, Driscoll has delivered on his promises. Personally, I don't like either one of them, because I think they both think they are entitled to the job. I don't care how many doors you knock on, neither of them came to my neighborhood, but I do have to go with the candidate who delivers. |

Leave it blank
Leave the Rep's race blank or write in a name. Neither of these chumps deserves the vote. Koko didn't even bother showing up and campaigning in any way. Driscoll is so paranoid he went negative against a guy that didn't even campaign. Send a message and vote for anyone but those two. By Neither one |

Untruths
The flyer was full of untruths about Koko. First the comment about the water in the resevoir not being pristine, the lead in the water is coming from the pipes leading from the street to peoples homes, nothing to do with the resevoir. The comment about, while campaigning for the planning board he promised to bring elderly housing to Braintree, how can someone on the planning board bring elderly housing to Braintree? They could approve low income housing but only if a builder brings a proposal forward. Did Driscoll go thru old newspapers to get this info, because I certainly don't remember what Koko promised over 10 years ago. |
