Ohio To Go Through Statewide Vot

Ohio To Go Through Statewide Vote Recount After All

These Idiots will never learn and admit America has spoken, they lose!

A statewide recount of the presidential vote appears inevitable after a pair of third-party candidates said they have collected enough money to pay for it.

The recount would be conducted after the election results are certified in early December.

Libertarian Michael Badnarik and the Green Party's David Cobb said on Monday they raised more than $150,000 in four days, mostly in small contributions.

Ohio law requires payment of $10 per precinct for a recount, or $113,600 statewide.

Badnarik and Cobb said they aren't trying to overturn President Bush's 136,000-vote victory in Ohio, but just want to ensure that all votes were counted properly in the face of concerns about Election Day irregularities.

''Our bottom line is to stand up for the integrity of the voting process because the voting process is the heart of the democratic process,'' said Blair Bobier, spokesman for Cobb.

Bobier said it will be worth the price to ensure the final outcome can be trusted.

BUSH OUTSOURCES STATE DEPARTMENT

BUSH OUTSOURCES STATE DEPARTMENT World Diplomacy Rerouted to Calling Center in Bangalore President George W. Bush seized the opportunity presented by Colin Powell?’s resignation as Secretary of State to outsource the State Department to India, the White House confirmed today.

With budget deficits spiraling out of control, the president saw a chance for significant cost-savings by having all of the State Department?’s diplomatic functions handled by a single calling center in Bangalore.

Starting in January, all nations interested in engaging the U.S. in a range of diplomatic communications will be able to do so by dialing one easy-to-remember toll-free number, the president said.

Around the globe, world leaders bemoaned the demise of the State Department, with France?’s Jacques Chirac offering perhaps the harshest words of criticism for the president?’s decision: ?“World diplomacy cannot be put on hold with music.?”

But President Bush brushed aside Mr. Chirac?’s comment, telling the French president that if he had issues to discuss with the U.S., ?“Try us in the evening when calling volume is lighter.?”

In Bangalore, Surjit Ramesh, 31, said he was ?“very excited indeed?” about being the sole employee of the one-room calling center that is replacing the U.S. State Department.

While Mr. Ramesh said he would have his hands full conducting all of the business of the State Department by himself, he said the White House gave him helpful tips to make his job easier: ?“If anyone with a French accent calls, I?’m supposed to hang up.?”

Elsewhere, President Bush spoke out against the importation of cheap drugs, citing Anna Nicole Smith.

New mum breastfeeds pup

New mum breastfeeds pup

A NEW Zealand woman says she is breastfeeding her staffordshire bull terrier pup because she wants the dog to protect her baby girl as the pair grow up.

Kura ''Kat'' Tumanako, of Hawke's Bay, on the North Island, said she started breastfeeding the pup after her own baby stopped taking her milk. ''I didn't want to waste it so I gave it to Honey Boy,'' she said.
The pup was hooked and has been having two feeds a day for the past week. Ms Tumanako said she would wean the puppy off in six weeks.

Her baby, Honey Pauline Philomina Flo, was born on August 29 and now is on bottled milk. ''I wanted to raise it (the pup) with my baby,'' Ms Tumanako said. ''I wanted to bring it up with a baby. It will protect her as they grow up.''

The pup came from a litter of 10.

''He drinks more than the baby. It doesn't hurt. It's a little bit ticklish,'' Ms Tumanko said.
