Did She Get Appointed?
Does anyone know whether she got the job in Wayland or didn't? I thought the vote on the job appointment was being taken last night? Frankly, if she leaves Braintree, I hope there is enough wisdom on this Board of Selectmen to do what's best for Braintree and not for their selfish vote getting egos to find someone who can get Braintree back as the esteemed community on this South Shore even if it is an interim appointment of a retired well respected and able former municipal administrator until the Town Manager proposal plays itself out over the Winter. I for one don't believe Mrs. Ackerman had Braintree in her heart and that affected her ability to shine here. She is a lame duck administrator seeking greener pastures closer to home and we can't blame her for that. If she really had any character, she'd silently ease out the door and take the Winter off and look while unemployed rather than collecting her salary here for less than she has proven she's worth.
