Town of Braintree

Okay, word out of Wayland is that their Selectmen who narrowed a 25 applicant field of candidates for their first ever Town Manager and the two finalists were their internal current executive secretary and Braintree's distinguished executive secretary, Terre Ackerman. Selectmen last night weren't happy with their two finalists, so they are calling for more candidates to light up their faces. I'd like to commend our Selectman Chairman (retired) James Casey for orchestrating the initial hiring of Ackerman and to esteemed attorney Selectman successor to Casey, David Shaw, for extending this lady's employment contract here in Braintree. She lost out in Saugus. She lost out in Winchester. She lost out in Wayland and what do those community screening committee's know that obviously our Braintree Selectmen didn't - this woman here is a fraud, a waste of money and not worth the salary these leaders gave her. We're stuck with her for another year and half thanks to worthless Shaw after worthless Casey's selecting her and developing a concensus on his board ot hire this puppet. Braintree government is about as comical as the San Francisco 49ers these days.

if her supervisors are encouraging the
departure and the town is suffering for it wouldn't it be prudent to lay off and release her so it is no
longer a distraction & gossip/sewing sister fodder?

I View Her As Weak

She claims in news reports during her interviews as a concensus builder of department heads? Have you asked any department heads in town what is their opinion of this concensus builder leader? She claims her strengths are in finances and personnel matters? Hmm, she hired a new town accountant, elevated a clerk to asst. town accountant level employee. She convinced Town Meeting to hire a finance director to keep the slack from the strings to the local dollars at ninety grand a year? She convinced town meeting to hire a dpw director who seems to be a single person dealing with the exact same number of management department heads of the dpw agencies as before. What did it save us? Efficiency? Hmm, seen or ridden our roads recently? Were spreading salt and sand most all last night with the mere pittance of a storm that never materialized? She claimed she has worked closely in town with affordable housing needs of the community? Hmm, must have been strictly behind the scenes because housing isn't one of the Selectmen's domains? Ever inquired of her attendance record at work? Appears to this oft visitor to town hall that she's out of the building, out of town on business than she's in the building leading, directing, managing, administering, reporting and researching - what our $95,000 a year is paying for her to do? One of the Selectmen was quoted as saying she might be a better fit in a smaller community. I say she never embraced Braintree, the town, and therefore is only marking time until she can move on to another job of pitiful phoniness.
