To all who have responded, thank you. By the way - to Kidsmom - last time I checked - anyone can use this forum for whatever they want - free speech - ever hear fo it???
Anyways, this young man is one of the top athletes in his grade and in fact has been on every sport travel team through out the years.


I'm not trying to do anything other than voice a dissatisfaction over a very major ''wrong'' made against a kid in our community who deserved better consideration.

By the way, the East Basketball coach has a soccer background - not basketball and this kid left out would have been a tremendous asset to the team in as much as he knows all the ''plays'' used in BYB as well as the travel teams. Please forgive me if I didn't use the correct terminology - I think you know what I mean.

That is a shame

Braintree School sports coaches can be very callous and outright deliberately unfair. I know this first hand from Braintree sports. Although I was one of the so called successful sports participants, it's a jock club mentality and the coaches encourage it much to the detriment of those who need help with their confidence to overcome self esteem inhibitions compounded further by the coaches. If you happen to come from a family of Braintree sports figures you get a pass to the club, but if you are an unknown, you get different treatment.

It's lousy, but it is what it is.
The coaches and all of the school department should do something about it.

Kids who happen to need a push with their self esteem issues get discriminated against by both the
in-kids and the coaches let it happen.

This may not describe this young citizen and I don't know who this budding basketball star in waiting is, but I hope he comes through it well adjusted.

If his parents can afford it maybe consider better private school systems like Archies, Xavieran, etc....
