Dream On ,Bugs Are In This One

Best to be last with this release!

It is much more than an update but an full release of the operating system!

That much new code is begging problems no matter how much bata checking microsoft was able to do!

Better to be later than sorry

This is a good time to purchase two bigger disks, move all of your important files from disk 0:to the one of new disk and do the update. If all else fails boot from the new disk.

When all the tears are resolved replace the original disk0 with the other improved disk, bigger,at least 80GB,they are newer, faster and cheaper
and much more reliable!

No thanks!

Set, ready, CRASH!!
damned if ya do...

from what I have seen so far working with the SP2 install ..

Many machines have boot problems after installing while others (same make model etc) are fine...MS states the machines should be spyware and virus free with all the latest drivers.

Makes me wonder how the person who just turns on machine keeps the thing running for more than a day ...without being hacked/ compromised

Key is as stated in above post..
BACKUPs..just do it.... problem is (look to your souls) that most of you er um... us dont back up our data on a regular basis...

I mean come on ..Watch the Red Sox or back up geek data...which would you choose..

Its only when the machine craps out that people realize how much data they actually have.Pictures , Word Docs, Spreadsheets, Emails (especially outlook express files ) are not alway easy to find for the ''average user'' ..

But on the other hand if you dont patch the machine the ''geek kids '' will break into your machine and you will be hosting the latest Adam Sandler movie faster than you can say Siskel and Ebert...

so..I try to get backups of my own stuff at least once a week to a USB drive (pretty cheap) ...and patch and update vscans religiously..

have fun on the boards..
