I called the police twice to report cars that were parked on the sidewalks on Washington,Franklin etc because they force me out onto the road, which was unsafe. I have gotten mixed responses, one time they sent a cruiser out and issued tickets. the other time I received a ''what would you like us to do?'' type of response. When I suggested that they should enforce the parking regulations, I was told that they didn't have enough officers to do that kind of work. I have given up trying to get them to do their jobs. TMM

in the past for various situations, they seemed more concerned about anything else. These were ''potential'' emergency
situations that I called about
on my cell phone, they couldn't be
bothered even though each could easily
have led to serious fatal accidents.
One was a car driving the wrong way
down an off ramp onto route 3 during

You Need to Report It

I strongly suggest that if you get a ''what do you think we should do'' response from a police dispatcher that you ask to speak with the shift commander. If the shift commander doesn't do anything, than you ask to speak with a deputy chief or the chief of police. FYI - their numbers are 781-794-8603 (shift commander), 781-794-8629 (Deputy Jenkins), 781-794-8654 (Deputy McHugh), 781-794-8651 (Chief Frazier). All calls to police dispatchers are recorded. So, if you get a negative response, report your complaint to one of the above. The tapes speak for themselves. Police dispatchers have been disciplined for such negative responses to the public. If you work your way up the chain and don't get the response you want, call 781-794-8110 and report it to the Board of Selectmen. However, I'm confident it will be dealt with before you reach that level. Instead of complaining here, you should make the supervisors aware of it, because if you don't, they may never find out about it and the behavior will continue.

Hey Cop

Nothing is ever good enough for the jerks in this town, they all want their arrses kissed. Parking problems arent too important when there is so much crap going on. Ive heard the frivilous calls people call the cops about and its nauseating. If they spent some more timecleaning up the filth that passes into to town AND DIDNT BOTHER WITH THE B/S, maybe we wouldnt have the violent crime in town. You people are so as= backwards. By the way do you work for the personell board? How would you know about discipline problems or are you just another one of the liars feeding disemmination...
