aim your slings and arrows here
hello everbody to the uninitiated i'm Townie Home Owner born, raised, schooled married here and am a property owner who pays taxes and participates in every election cycle. presently un enrolled as i would prefer to vote for the individual, not the party line because both sides push away from moderate toward extreme left or right.not my cup of tea. below is a taste of my thought process without the crutch of cut and paste partisan baloney i make up my own mind and am unwilling to take anyones' word as gospel either way.alot of people are followers here because they either don't know better or they don't care.let them reap the harvest each fertilizer salesman (Bushie and Kerry) is laying down.very odorous and fetid indeed. sorry seems to be hardest word Oct 10, 2004 I've read and listened and watched.the argument of war with Iraq remains weak, with or without justification.since when does the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA have the right to wage war on inferior nations without impunity? because our sensibilities are the only ones that matter?we are without question the biggest and strongest power on the planet.our needs are not more important than the rest of the worlds'. our economy, religious faith, and Constitutional rights do not supersede any other nation's right to sovereignty. who told anyone here that their most intimate desire was to be more like America?Thousands of years have these tribes fought over what is uniquely a regional problem.it is no matter whether Bush or Kerry is president, many will continue to die for an idea discussed in board rooms by those who care only for monetary gain. no ideology or democracy is at stake here.just death and destruction, instability and and oil prices.there are three tribes in this region wrestling for control now that the government is destabilized and if our need to control their economy wasn't the real reason we came in the first place,we better not stop here.there's Iran,Korea and the biggest nut to crack of them all,China.it's a big job being the world's policeman, making every region safe so our idea of society will continue to prosper at their expense.if you don't understand it and you can't bully them, take'em out,set up a puppet regime and the world will be red white and blue all over.being facetious is the easy part. allowing the world's nations to take their natural course is another. if this president was as sharp as the proverbial tack and he had the necessary intelligence to make an informed and prudent decision this wouldn't be an election year issue.he would have had a plan, executed it and and be on to bigger and better things by now instead of leading enough people to believe he made a decision at that time because it seemed like the right thing to do,even as it began to go awry.now he has NO CLUE or PLAN in place to remove our military from harms way as America has emerged as the world's biggest oppressor( without a clue,no less)instead of the big brother looking out for the oppressed. Bush should be made to explain why the pursuit of BIN LADEN is no longer his biggest priority instead of pursuing the stability of world oil prices. don't worry Anonymous, the sun will come out tommorrow, bet your bottom Bush dollar........ -By townie home owner By townie homeowner |

another taste for real residents
what's in a name (or lack of) Oct 10, 2004 as you hide (again) behind your birthright.were the parents and the sibs all Anonymous as well?maybe you know so much about these details because you were a former guest, hmm? let's get to it then shall we.will he/she/it/ANON come clean as a town resident or just another 10 mile to Boston Commuter fraud that describe so many of the new town residents?driving up the tax rates building estate size dwellings then complaining the town is not adequate for their needs.'they're using too much town money on the civil servants;lay them off.when i was i kid there were 50 kids in each class'.not in braintree. there was plenty of services provided then when the resident tax base was in line with available accountable funding.then came proposition 2 1/2 with the promise of dropping tax rates at the expense of funding the existing infrastructure that continues to escalate year after year. before the madness began there was not a year in / year out struggle to strategize robbing peter at the expense of Paul to provide services to residents such as paving the roads, upkeep in every town building and school and allowing employees a cost of living raise.when it comes to town issues I'm conservative. to the bone.the taxpayers Here refuse to override.so be it .no pet project should get preference over another,OK?ALL TOWN EMPLOYEES are not entitled to a raise this includes both union and non union, manager and worker employees use your own vehicles.the roads never get fixed.schools never get upgrades.no police cars, fire engines, school books, materials, after school activities.bring back the town dump.get rid of your own trash.sweep and snow plow your own sidewalks and streets.sell BELD.go back to roof antennas for reception get rid of 24/7 police and fire coverage. make these employees pay for their own uniforms/guns/whatever.junk the Quinn bill.no cops needed for 4 hour details make the people who own and operate braintree place and south shore plaza responsible for their own security and traffic issues.open the gate at Flaherty.either allow the trucks to ruin the roads or tell the business that employs them to pay upkeep or get out of town.tell the town people up front who will pay the freight of upkeep on the Petersen pool before its location is agreed upon and then built or give the money back. you see? that little dissertation might be considered a rant but the devil really is in the details.you can't turn the clock back to suit your individual needs/desires.the town collectively bought the the lie 24 years ago and we are too stubborn to undue the damage.the town folk that have had the pleasure of living here longer than 25 years know the deal if they've been paying attention.others coming in later should be able to figure it out on their own.the town does not want to grow any larger.if people want to move here to commute to Boston, fine.if they don't care for the politics or the aging, antiquated concepts that are perpetuated by residents and town government in denial, maybe Braintree isn't for them. i would then suggest either Holbrook,Weymouth,Randolph or Quincy as an alternative.the people that live here are well versed on all that ails them.they are just either unable or too stubborn to effect a change. who buys a house, pays the mortgage and utilities but then refuses to acknowledge that upkeep will be required at some point and then refuses to budget for it? the Town of Braintree does.that's it in a nut shell. townie home owner 10/10/04 10:23 a.m. By townie homeowner |

another taste for real resident2
this is my take on braintree town politics.Real literate residents understand. mental midgets with minor agendas couldn't and wouldn't be bothered.do you blame them.they are content with the incumbent, the biigest richest mental fraud of them all.here's a random thought for ''Morons for Bushie'' folk,if the neighbors dog was threatening to overturn your walmart trash can, would you kill it from three streets away, all of its breed; firebomb the kennel it came from kill its parents and anyone near them, then proclaim V FOR VICTORY????? let's get to it then shall we.will he/she/it/ANON come clean as a town resident or just another 10 mile to Boston Commuter fraud that describe so many of the new town residents?driving up the tax rates building estate size dwellings then complaining the town is not adequate for their needs.'they're using too much town money on the civil servants;lay them off.when i was i kid there were 50 kids in each class'.not in braintree. there was plenty of services provided then when the resident tax base was in line with available accountable funding.then came proposition 2 1/2 with the promise of dropping tax rates at the expense of funding the existing infrastructure that continues to escalate year after year. before the madness began there was not a year in / year out struggle to strategize robbing peter at the expense of Paul to provide services to residents such as paving the roads, upkeep in every town building and school and allowing employees a cost of living raise.when it comes to town issues I'm conservative. to the bone.the taxpayers Here refuse to override.so be it .no pet project should get preference over another,OK?ALL TOWN EMPLOYEES are not entitled to a raise this includes both union and non union, manager and worker employees use your own vehicles.the roads never get fixed.schools never get upgrades.no police cars, fire engines, school books, materials, after school activities.bring back the town dump.get rid of your own trash.sweep and snow plow your own sidewalks and streets.sell BELD.go back to roof antennas for reception get rid of 24/7 police and fire coverage. make these employees pay for their own uniforms/guns/whatever.junk the Quinn bill.no cops needed for 4 hour details make the people who own and operate braintree place and south shore plaza responsible for their own security and traffic issues.open the gate at Flaherty.either allow the trucks to ruin the roads or tell the business that employs them to pay upkeep or get out of town.tell the town people up front who will pay the freight of upkeep on the Petersen pool before its location is agreed upon and then built or give the money back. you see? that little dissertation might be considered a rant but the devil really is in the details.you can't turn the clock back to suit your individual needs/desires.the town collectively bought the the lie 24 years ago and we are too stubborn to undue the damage.the town folk that have had the pleasure of living here longer than 25 years know the deal if they've been paying attention.others coming in later should be able to figure it out on their own.the town does not want to grow any larger.if people want to move here to commute to Boston, fine.if they don't care for the politics or the aging, antiquated concepts that are perpetuated by residents and town government in denial, maybe Braintree isn't for them. i would then suggest either Holbrook,Weymouth,Randolph or Quincy as an alternative.the people that live here are well versed on all that ails them.they are just either unable or too stubborn to effect a change. who buys a house, pays the mortgage and utilities but then refuses to acknowledge that upkeep will be required at some point and then refuses to budget for it? the Town of Braintree does.that's it in a nut shell. townie home owner 10/10/04 10:23 a.m. By townie homeowner |
