Marysville Elementary School in South East Portland has recently been told by the Portland Public School district that they are planning to tear down the playground this summer 2003. The parents, students and community members are raising money RIGHT NOW to put in a replacement. Thats right, the district is NOT going to replace it. We need your help NOW! The students are in the process of a PENNY DRIVE to raise $5,000 and will be doing a Run for The Playground in April. You can help by donating pennies, dollars etc, AND/OR by sponsoring a child in the Run for the Playground OR running yourself and getting sponsors!!! For questions call the school office @ 503-916-6363 OR stop in at 7733 SE Raymond st.
