Briarwood is a community of Fairfax, Virginia of 202 single family homes nestled on the south side of Braddock Rd (Rt 620), approximately 4 miles west of the Beltway (Rt 495). Briarwood was initially carved out of woods that consisted of tall Oaks, Tulip Poplars, Hickory and Fir trees, accented by Dogwoods and Hollies. The homes in the first section were constructed in the mid-1970's. They were followed by a second section of upgraded models in the late 1970's, and, lastly, a third section in the mid 1980's. The homes sit on quarter acre lots with a large tree backdrop and framed by mature flowering trees, shrubs and various species of trees planted throughout the years. Briarwood has something unique for our residents and guests - nearly 7 acres of forested common land.
