scrub oak easement

Posted in: StoneCroft Village at Castle Pines North
For those of us on Stonemont that back up to Monarch, we're interested in what you were told regarding the scrub oak easement (the 10 ft we all own on the OTHER side of the fence). Did anyone get an answer as to why the corner houses and the few on the east end of Stonemont get to have the fence on the outside of the easement? We were told last January by Village that Douglas County mandated that fencing, but were given no answer as to why the fence has to suddenly cut in 10 ft for those of us unlucky ones. Just exploring options ....

Scrub Oak Easement

My understanding is that all but 4 lots have the fence in by 10 ft. by the requirement of Douglas county. I do believe the records are at Douglas County stating the requirement. We do have that information here at our main office, if you would like to take a look at it. Unfortunately I do not know the exact thinking of the requirement, however I am sure they have a good reason for their decision. I think it has to do with the environment as far as leaving a certain amount of trees.
If you have specific questions please call Douglas County or
Matt Osborn at 303-795-1976 ext.190.
