Brookwood Recreational Association

Damaged Entrance Decorative Brickwork

Posted in: Brookwood Recreational

The money in the account was put there to pay for the operation of the association (the pool and clubhouse) by the approximately 55 members of the association.  There are 104 houses in the neighborhood.  Depending on the type of decorative entrance chosen, it could cost thousands of dollars.   Is it correct to reduce the amount of pool chemicals and length of time that the pool is open, or to put off repairs to the pool and clubhouse using money paid in by 55 people to pay for an entrance for the neighborhood of all 104 houses?  I do not think so. I say we just scrap the entrance bricks altogether and spend the money on the pool, while putting a little in reserve each year to pay for future problems like broken pool pumps, broken clubhouse air conditioners, etc.

We are working on a plan to change / improve / repair/ remove / replace / whatever the damaged brickwork at the entrance to the neighborhood on Burnett Ferry Road.  What is your idea about this?

Do you want to restore the brickwork?  Or replace it with something else?  Or just remove it without replacement?

Should the members of the recreational association finance it?  Or should all homeowners in Brookwood pay for any changes?

replace with something else

all homeowners in Brookwood pay for changes
