TO ASSIST THE FIRE DEPT.
1. Sprinkler drawings required.
Address required on each page of plans.
Remove all void sheets.
2. Exit lights require batter backup. (NFPA 101 5-10.3.1)
Additional exit signs required.
Emergency lights required for stairs.
Emergency lights shall comply with NFPA 101 5-9.2.
Exit hardware shall comply with SFBC 3103.3.
Doors shall not project into means of egress. (NFPA 101 5-2.1.4.3)
Door shall swing in direction of travel. (SFBC 3103.2)
3. Smoke detectors required inside and outside all bedrooms.
Smoke detectors require 110-volt with battery backup.
Smoke detector requires a minimum three feet from supply air.
Alarm horns required, minimum 70 lbs.
Strobe lights must comply with SFBC 31 12.6(b)(1)(dd.)
Strobe light spacing must comply with NFPA 726-4.4.1.1.
4. Hose outlet required at each landing. (SFBC 3803.6)
Hose reach. (SFBC 3803.3)
Dock protection required. (SFBC 3806.3)
Fire extinguishers required. (SFBC 3807.1)
5. Glass to corridor shall comply with SFBC 31 04.7(h)(1) and (i).
Exit separation requires 1A the diagonal NFPA 101 5-5.1.4.
Tenant separation required as per SFBC 502.2(a)(1).
G-2 to F separation required as per SFBC Table 5-A.
Provide assembly numbers for rated walls.
Show type of construction.
Show type of protection (ceiling/floor ceiling.)
Fire dampers required as per NFPA 90(a).
Note on Plans: Hood fire system under separate permit prior to final inspection.

TO ASSIST THE PLANS ROOM
1. Submit two copies of signed and sealed (embossed) surveys with the flood zone and elevation certificates included.
2. Submit a complete soil bearing statement on the plan indicating the type analysis either by soil test or by rational analysis.
If by soil test they must submit two signed and sealed copies of the soil test it self.
3. Note the type of Construction and the type of Group occupancy on all applications.
4. Include all detailed Fire Resistive Assembly numbers, drawings, assembly components noted with the drawings.
5. Note the M.S.L. finish floor elevation on all plans.
6. Indicate the handicap parking access aisle and access route on all plans.
7. Detail drawings on all stair and safeguard design.
8. Include a Letter of Intent for all unit masonry, truss erection and threshold buildings.
9. All revisions must be clouded/shaded in at time of submission.
10. Design pressures and rough-opening dimensions must be indicated for all openings in a building or structure. The uplift pressure of all roof systems should also be noted.
